The bar and patrons are closing in. There is a murmur of laughter and shrieks but Max hears little of what is being said.

A semi-attractive Jewish girl with brown hair and a semi-big nose laughs nearby, mouth agape, holding a colorful drink. She is at one of the smaller tables near the wooden booths.

“I know. I know. It’s totally cool. They are sending me to Spain completely paid. It’s like, yeah, I’ll go.”

He scans to Tony at the other end of the bar. The place is packed and noisy.

“You want a two olive dry martini and you?” He points his finger reaching for a martini glass.
